Introduction
x-span results, inc. (“x-span”) is committed to protecting the privacy
of our clients, subscribers as well as prospective clients and/or subscribers.
We exercise every effort to provide a safe and secure user experience. The
following provides an overview of the standards and practice regarding our
sites. Please know this policy does not govern web sites to which we may
provide links, because we are not responsible and cannot control the privacy
practices or content of those sites.
General Information
We gather information about all of our users collectively. Our web server will
automatically recognize the domain server numeric code associated with the
user’s Internet service provider, but not the specific email address of the
visitor. We collect information about how our users interact with our site,
including (but not limited to) the pages visited, interactions completed and/or
abandoned, services, products and/or packages used most frequently as well as
the frequency and duration of visits and the transaction volumes per visit. We
use this information in aggregate form only for the sole purpose to improve our
service offerings and the user’s interactive experience with our sites.
Cookies
Cookies are small strings of text that are stored on your local computer by the
browser at the request of a web site. They are used to help track additional
web site usage. We do not use cookies to gather personal information such as an
email address or name and may use cookies only to gather additional tracking
information regarding how visitors interact with our sites. Most browsers
provide a simple function that enables a user to control whether or not they
receive cookies as a part of their web interaction.
Personal Information
There are areas of our site that require the user to provide personal
information to access the secure user and subscriber-based services offered by
x-span and our affiliates. We routinely ask for name, organization,
address, phone and email information to complete a valid user profile. We also
may ask for credit card information to complete a transaction or a
subscription. From time to time, we may ask you to provide feedback to x-span
regarding various aspects of our service offerings so that we may
continually improve the quality and value of the services we provide via the
web. We do not disclose any personal information to any third party for the
purpose of marketing or selling such third party’s products or services.
Personal information may only be released if a government and/or legal entity
mandates it to investigate and/or resolve a problem, and you authorize us to
disclose any information we collect as we believe necessary and/or appropriate
to resolve the matter.
Communications and Opt-Out
We will communicate with you from time to time regarding routine
customer/client service issues as appropriate. We may use the information about
you to let you know about additional products or services offered by x-span
and its affiliates. As a user, you may choose to not receive
information or messages from x-span by contacting us via email at
unsubscribe@xspanresults.com or by updating your personal profile on the web
site. Please note, it may take up to 10 business days for our systems to update
with your communication requests and we apologize in advance if you receive a
communication that was in process when your request was submitted.
Data
When a user includes information regarding an organization’s information – such
as site locations, customer locations and relationship data – x-span
will exercise ever effort to protect the data and will never allow a user to
have access to individual customer name, address or other personally
identifiable data elements as a part of their site interaction. It is our
practice to “mask” individually identifiable data elements as a data management
standard. Additional data standards are governed by our clients policies,
procedures and standards.
Security
In order to protect you’re the information that is submitted via the web
site(s), x-span uses the SSL (secure sockets layer) version 2.0
encryption technology or higher. This technology protects registered users from
having their information intercepted by anyone other than x-span while
it is being transmitted.
When a user submits payment on the web via credit card, the site will process
the transactions using PayPal’s online merchant technology. This technology has
the most advanced encryption available today and uses a minimum of SSL version
3.0 or higher.
Feedback
x-span has an area on the site where any user or visitor can submit
feedback. Any feedback that is submitted through this area becomes the property
of x-span and we may use this feedback for marketing and future
development purposes or to contact you for further feedback on the site.
Policy Changes
This Privacy Policy is effective as of January 1, 2007 and x-span may
change this Statement from time to time without notice. We recommend that
visitors and users revisit this Statement to learn of new privacy practices and
changes to our policy. This Statement is not intended to and does not create
any contractual or other legal rights in or on behalf of any policy.
