Analysts
Analysts help us with the many day-to-day tasks that creep up as part
of projects and ongoing client management. They support the Consultants and
the Partners and pitch in on just about anything. Our Analysts like their work
here because it is always something different – and we don’t expect you to know
the answers to everything – we just want you to ask questions and learn.
The Analyst position is a very flexible position in our company – and many
work on a part-time basis. Some Analysts work on a full-time or “project basis”. We
have found that many “stay-at-home” parents and graduate students love this
role because they are working on real business issues – but are able to focus
on other, “big life,” things. Most have some relevant business
experience – but – it is an ideal position for someone looking to build
experience, too.
The thing that makes an Analyst successful is their ability to work
independently and (very important here), are not afraid to ask questions or
disclose that they don’t know something. They are also not “above” any task,
and work within the delivery guidelines as agreed.
All candidates need at least a Bachelor’s degree and any experience in database
marketing and GIS platforms, like MapInfo, are most helpful. You also need to
have a strong working knowledge of MS Office – especially MS Access, Excel, and
PowerPoint. Any experience on the “programming side,” like SQL or web
development, is great, too.
